With The Pedal Project you travel virtually through the collection of engaging videos. Riding while watching these videos keeps you motivated to keep pedaling because you feel like you are moving through the landscape.
With The Pedal Project you can focus your attention on the screen while one of our virtual travel videos is playing. The pace of the video and the scenic journey helps to keep you motivated. You'll be exercising AND enjoying it!
Pick your "ride". Whether you're using a rehab bike, stationary bike, treadmill, rower, or elliptical machine, you can participate.
The videos offer scenes of forward motion, so you'll pedal along as you virtually drive, ride, or walk through towns, villages, big cities, and unique spots. Members have access to an area where the full-length videos are stored. You can use a laptop, desktop computer, tablet, or mobile device to view the videos.
Pick a membership type and know you can cancel anytime.
Click the Play button in the center to start the video.
Once the video starts, the tool bar will appear at the bottom of the video window. Click on the full-screen icon on the bottom right. (See yellow circle below)
If you'd like to go back to the smaller size, hover over the video with your cursor and click the same button again.
Almost all videos are 4K, a very high quality. 4K, however, requires more data to flow, so it may not be ideal for everyone. The video viewer defaults to AUTO, which should work for most folks.
Steps:
Open a video
Click on the Gear symbol on the bottom right (see yellow circle on image below)
Then on Quality
Select the level you prefer
If you have a very fast internet connection, you can select 2160p which is 4K. This will show richer, more detailed content.
If you're connection is not as fast or it is spotty at the moment, you can select a lower number. 1080p is still very good quality. 720p will look good, but the difference will be notable.
The Gear symbol will also lead you to where you can adjust the speed of the video.
Rides are videos of varying length. Tours are groupings of related rides. For example, a Tour of Spain would have rides of cities and towns in Spain. When you complete each tour, you'll receive a "stamp" on your Pedal Project Passport.

If you have a monthly subscription and cancel, you will not be charged for any future months.
If you have a 6-month subscription and wish to cancel prior to the end of 6 months, we'll count your time with us at the monthly rate and refund the rest. For example, if you join on January 3rd and cancel on March 1st you'll have used 2 months at $9 each and have 4 unused months. You'll be refunded $31.
Six-month plan = $49
2 months at regular rate = $18
Refund if you cancel= $31
And you will will still have access until the end of that month's cycle.
The same method applies for the annual subscription.
For example, if you join on January 3 and cancel on May 25, you'll have used 5 months at $9 each. That's $45. You'll be refunded $34.
Annual plan = $79
5 months at regular rate = $45
Refund if you cancel= $34
And you will will still have access until the end of that month's cycle.
The Annual Subscription is by far the best value. If you stay for the year, you'll have saved $29 over the monthly plan.
The Passport is a way for to collect stamps based on the "tours" that you complete. You get a stamp to recognize your achievement. It's a great way to keep track of where you've been and how many minutes you've pedaled.
When you earn a stamp it will appear in the header of your profile and also on My Passport, which you'll find in the Member Area.
When in-person sessions become available, attendees will receive a booklet during their first visit that will be stamped each time they participate.
Yes, you must be connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable.
Videos included in The Pedal Project have no commercials and there are no advertisements on any pages. Select a video and ride without interruptions or distractions.
There are currently no plans for downloads. For now, virtual rides will need to be enjoyed while connected to the Internet. Videos are 4K quality, a high resolution. In the video library, you can select a lower resolution allowing you to still enjoy the ride if your Internet connection is sluggish.
It's possible to watch a video at a slower or faster speed than it was filmed.
This is great if you'd like to slow or speed up your pace or if you want to see more details.
Steps:
Open a video
Click on the Gear symbol on the bottom right (see yellow circle on image below)
Then click on Speed
Select the speed you prefer
The Gear symbol will also lead you to where you can adjust the quality of the video.
